‘Stargate Universe’ Delivers Action and Humor in Season 2.5 Premiere:
‘Deliverance’ is old school space opera with an ‘SGU’ flavor
Stargate Universe makes it’s bittersweet return to Syfy in the US and SPACE Channel in Canada this week and it comes back with a bang. Several bangs in fact.
Like ‘Space,’ the corresponding episode at the start of Season 1.5, ‘Deliverance’ dispenses with much of the re-envisioning that has separated SGU from its predecessors in the franchise. Instead, it delivers in abundance that most populist expression of the space opera genre: the space battle. It’s not Stargate Universe at its best, but it’s an entertaining hour that marks a welcome return for one of the best sci-fi shows on television.[cinemaspy]

Twohy, Diesel Talk Riddick Sequel:
Vin Diesel updated his Facebook followers with a new video that reveals little, but ensures that progress on Riddick, the chapter to follow Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick, continues.
Writer-director David Twohy makes an appearance and states Riddick will be similar to Pitch Black in relation to the size of the budget (that, in turn will help maintain an R rating).
“We’re gonna be lean and we’re going to go quick and it’s going to be a cool movie, I can tell you that,” Twohy adds.

Fast Five gets a name change in some markets:
Seems the title “Fast Five” isn’t testing so well outside of America (yes, they test such things). Universal have informed us that the film, the fifth in the “Fast and the Furious” franchise, will now be released under the title “Fast and Furious 5? in territories such as Australia.[moviehole/"Caffeinated" Clint]
Words have power, a force all their own. My first tattoo consisted of ancient words – magical runes inked forever into my skin. The Gothic rune Quairtra – signifying a divine fire/creation – that tranforms as it consumes, surrounded by the runes of the Elder Futhark. Later on, I had the Elven word “tindoome” or “morning twilight”, in script, tattooed on the side of my neck. So yes, words are important. Some of the tattoos below are incredibly beautiful:

What words are so important to you that you’d have them tattooed onto your body? From ampersands to poetry verses, Body Type 2: More Typographic Tattoos presents a spectrum of word and letterform tattoos collected by art director, design critic, and photographer Ina Saltz. Many of the personal stories behind these permanent inscriptions are poignant, surprising, or both; in Body Type 2, Saltz pairs tattoo images with tattoo stories to good effect.[motherjones]
